The Logistics of byproduct_

Because everything here started as a personal project, we handle things a little differently than a big-box store. We’re small, we’re intentional, and we want to make sure the "byproducts" that reach you are as good as the ones on my own workbench.

Our Stance on Returns

The short version: Everything is made just for you. Since our items are made-to-order (literally produced the moment you buy them), we can’t accept general returns or "changed my mind" exchanges. We don't keep a warehouse of backstock—we create as we go.

The "Make it Right" Guarantee: If your item arrives with a print error, a defect, or looking like it went through a blender during shipping, we will replace it or refund you.

How to help us help you: If there’s a quality issue, send us a couple of clear photos via our [Contact Form]. Lay the item on a flat, well-lit surface so we can see exactly what’s up. We’ll get it sorted from there.

Cancellations

The "Before Production" Window: You can cancel or edit your order through the link in your confirmation email as long as it hasn't hit the production line yet. Once the machines start moving, the item belongs to you. After it arrives, you have 30 days to let us know if there are any quality issues.

Shipping & The International Bits

Where do you ship? Everywhere the carriers will let us.

Duties and Taxes: If you’re ordering from outside the US, your local customs office might want a piece of the action. We can’t predict those import taxes or duties, and we can’t pay them for you. If a fee pops up, it’s on your end to handle it so you can get your package.

Money Talk

Accepted Payments: We keep it simple. All major Credit/Debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. If you’re in a spot that supports it, you’ll also see Klarna or AfterPay at checkout.

Refund Timelines:

  • PayPal: Usually shows back up in your balance within 24 hours.

  • Credit Card: Takes the bank’s scenic route—expect 7 to 10 business days.

Who Handles the Heavy Lifting?

While the designs and ideas come from the byproduct_ lab, our shop is powered by Fourthwall.com. They handle the secure payment processing and the logistics of getting orders out the door. If you see their name on your billing statement, don’t worry—that’s just the engine under our hood.
